Hollywood Man Arrested for Bad Check Writing


St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Senior Deputy First Class Kevin Somerville located Suspect Norman Wayne Shifflet of Hollywood and served him with a Criminal Summons. The charging document states that Suspect Shifflet wrote a check in the amount of $157.06 to Fairland Market, Inc. of Hollywood, without having sufficient funds to cover the check. Suspect Shifflet was arrested, charged with Bad Check Under $500, released on his personal recognizance and is awaiting a court date.
