Starting Young: 15 Year Old Causes Disturbance at MIR; Assaults Police Officers


On 05/17/05, a juvenile, fifteen years old, was apprehended after becoming disorderly with patrons at the Maryland International Raceway. The juvenile appeared to be intoxicated. While in police custody, he kicked a police windshield, causing major damage to the windshield. He was taken from the vehicle and while waiting to be transported, assaulted Deputy First Class Edward Evans, Detive David Alexander, and Detective Bill Raddatz by spitting on the officers. The suspect was taken to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office where he was processed, then taken to St. Mary's Hospital for an emergency evaluation.
