Bogus Bomb Threat at Radio Station Road Academy


On June 9 at 12:47 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Radio Station Road Academy at 5980 Radio Station Road in La Plata for a report of a bomb threat. Investigation revealed a male caller stated a bomb would explode in the school in seven minutes. The school was evacuated and students were dismissed at their normal dismissal time. Responding officers did not locate a bomb. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-2222. Officer M. Kaylor is investigating.
