Home Burglars Escape into PG County in Stolen Vehicle

On June 6 at 1:25 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to a residence in the 2300 block of Hawks Landing Court in the Pinefield subdivision in Waldorf for the theft from a motor vehicle report. Suspect(s) driving a green vehicle were reportedly involved in the theft. Officers checking the area located the vehicle on Pinefield Road in Waldorf and attempted to stop it but the driver fled into Prince George's County to a housing area near Lynia Drive, where officers ended their pursuit. The vehicle they were fleeing in had been stolen in Charles County.

Officers checked the Pinefield area and found the suspects had burglarized 14 homes and vehicles. Officers later checked the area where the vehicle was last seen and located it unoccupied. The vehicle was towed to the Charles County Sheriff's Office Crime Lab for processing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer B. Buchanan is investigating.
