Armed Robbery; Victim Knew One of the Suspects

On May 23 at 9:19 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to a residence in the 4300 block of Indian Head Highway for the report of an armed robbery that previously occurred. Investigation revealed two men went to the victim's residence on May 19 at 11:30 p.m. The victim, a 19-year-old man, knew one of the men and let both men into his home. Shortly thereafter, the man known to the victim left the residence and the other man brandished a weapon and demanded money. The victim complied.

When the man put the gun away and began to leave, the victim and the man became involved in a physical altercation. Both suspects then fled the scene. The suspect with the gun is described as a black male with braided hair. He is about 18 years old and 6 feet tall with a medium build. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-743-2222. Officer R. Williams is investigating.
