Drug Bust in Mechanicsville


On January 21, 2005, the Bureau of Criminal Investigations Narcotics Unit served a search and seizure warrant on Dockser Drive in Mechanicsville. The warrant was served with assistance from the Patrol Divisions of the Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of 75grams of Marijuana (street value $450), 9.2 grams of Crack Cocaine (street value $920), 43.3 grams of powder Cocaine (street value $4,330), $2,651 in U.S. Currency and several firearms to include an SKS Assault Rifle. The following persons were arrested and charged with various drug related offenses:

Thomas Albert Tippett 21 years of age from Port Tobacco
Charge: Possession of Marijuana

Michael Allen Johnson 19 years of age from Clements
Charge: Possession of Marijuana

Michael David Walther 18 years of age from Mechanicsville
Charge: Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Marijuana

John Christopher Walther 22 years of age from Mechanicsville
Charge: Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia

The circumstances surrounding the investigation will be presented to a St. Mary’s Grand Jury and additional charges are anticipated.
