Chaney Foundation To Award Beautification Grants In Charles County

Chaney Enterprises, through the Chaney Foundation, is pleased to announce the 2005 Beautification Grant Program.

The Chaney Foundation established the “Beautification Grant” in 2003 to assist community associations and school PTA’s in establishing aesthetic and environmental improvement projects that will benefit the many residents of Charles County. There are a limited number of grants, which will be awarded on a competitive basis. Applicants are encouraged to submit projects which use native plant species and can be incorporated into the school curriculum.

Applicants must be a school, government or 501©3 organization, or have a qualified organization that is willing to receive funds to be used for the project, and the project must be located in Charles County.

Each grant is in an amount up to $1,000.00 which must be matched by the winning entities. The match may be in cash, material, services, labor, or a combination of resources. We just need you to indicate how much your project will cost, the amount you are requesting, and how you plan to match the requested funds. A photograph of your improvement area is also requested.

Applications are due by February 28, 2005. The grants will be awarded on a competitive basis in April, and an overall winner will be chosen from the completed projects for special recognition. Please call 301-932-5086 for more information.
