New anti-smoking website invites teens and their parents to respond to survey about smoking habits; entrants could win a gift certificate to iTunes!
WALDORF, Md. (1/13/05) Whatever your smoking habits, www.charlescountykicksbutt.org is looking for your input on its website.
Website administrators are seeking information about the smoking habits of teens and adults in Charles County. Two surveys one for teens and one for adults are posted on the site.
Completing the survey will only take a couple of minutes, said Denise Gray of InHome Management Services. We want to find out how often teens and adults in Charles County smoke, how much they smoke and whether they are aware of common statistics about smoking.
We want everyone to be honest, so the survey is completely confidential.
Everyone who responds to the survey will be entered into a weekly drawing for a $10 gift certificate to the popular music download site iTunes. One response to each survey is allowed per computer (determined by IP address), and entrants must be residents of Charles County.
Notice of the survey has begun to spread through an e-mail campaign to Charles County residents. Anyone who has not received the e-mail yet can visit the site at www.charlescountykicksbutt.org and click on the Survey link.
www.charlescountykicksbutt.org was created by the Charles County Health Department in conjunction with InHome Management Services and Kimberly Bean Website Design and Creative Services. Teens are given tips for dealing with peer pressure, facts about smoking and its effects and advice on how to quit. A special parents section helps them quit smoking and talk to their teens about tobacco.
