St. Mary's Sheriff's Report for December 30, 2004


On 123004 DFC Michael Peacher responded to Willows Road for a reported Attempted Arson. It was reported by Elliot McKinnon that between 122904 and 123004 unknown person(s) attempted to set fire to a building under construction. The building is near the intersection of Willows Road and Bradley Blvd. The attempted Arson was discovered when workmen returned to work in the morning. The investigation has been forwarded to the Maryland State Fire Marshall's Office for followup.

On 123004 Deputy Jay Kirkner responded to the intersection of Dockser Drive and Barton Street for a reported property destruction. It was reported by Jeffrey Adams that unknown person(s) damaged victims windows to a house under construction. A neighborhood check indicated that four
(4) juvenile males were observed in the house under construction.

On 123004 DFC Emory Johnson responded to Donna Drive for a reported theft. It was reported that three inflatable figures and three lighted signs were stolen from the from the front yard on Donna Drive. The inflatable figures were of Winnie the Pooh, The Grinch, and Christmas Ornaments. The lighted signs were "NOEL", "Merry Christmas", and "JOY".

On 123004 DFC Emory Johnson and Deputy Jay Kirkner responded to Budds Creek Road for a Violation of an Ex Parte. The investigation revealed that John Lee Farrell Jr. returned to the residence after having been served an Ex-Parte Order, ordering him away from and not to return to the residence. He was arrested and charged with violating that order.

On 123004 DFC Patrick Handy and DFC Stephen Myers responded to MacArthur Way in Scotland for a reported assault. The investigation revealed that William Patrick Cullinan 56 yoa of Scotland pointed a loaded shotgun at Loretta Sweeney and Stephanie Schoonover and threatened to kill them. He then fired a round into the ceiling.
Cullinan was arrested and charged with 2 counts of First Degree Assault and 2 counts of Reckless Endangerment. A .410 gauge shotgun was recovered at the scene.
