St. Mary's Sheriff's Report for December 28, 2004


Second Degree Assault
On 12/27/04 Dfc. R. Maloy responded to Fenwick Street, Leonardtown for the reported Domestic Assault. Investigation revealed Stephane Jaffres and Theresa Ventre were involved in a domestic dispute. Ms. Ventre assaulted Mr. Jaffres by slapping him in the back of the head. Mr. Jaffres did not sustain any visible injuries as a result of the assault. Both parties were advised of the procedures for obtaining charging documents if desired.

Second Degree Assault
On 12/28/04 Deputy J. Logalbo responded to Megan Lane, Leonardtown for the reported Domestic Assault. Investigation revealed Dawn Phillips and Gregory Morris were involved in a domestic dispute. Ms. Phillips struck Mr. Morris several times and scratched him several times . Ms. Phillips was subsequently arrested for Second Degree Assault and incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.

Possession of Marijuana
On 12/28/04 Dfc. C. Earle responded to a disturbance on Laurel Glen Rd. California. Upon arrival contact was made with the occupants of the apartment. Upon entering the residence Dfc. Earle observed a bag of suspected Marijuana in plain view. A consent search of the residence led to the discovery of 332.07 Grams of suspected Marijuana, $1,443 in U.S. Currency, and a CDS Smoking Device. The occupants, William Morrison, age 20 and Ryan Schoonover, age 18 were placed under arrest, charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia and incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
