Calvert Co. Sheriff’s Office Blotter for the week of December 13th, 2004


CDS Violation
On December 9th, 2004 at 1:23 am, Dep. M. Jones conducted a traffic stop in the area of Rt 231 and Barstow Rd., Prince Frederick, Md. As he approached the vehicle he detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana. Dep. Jones conducted a search of the car and located a zip lock baggie containing suspected marijuana, two hand rolled cigarettes containing suspected marijuana and a non-conventional smoking device also containing suspected marijuana. Jermaine O. Harris, 26 years old of Prince Frederick, Md. and Travis L. Bright, 19 years old of Prince Frederick, Md. were placed under arrest and charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. They were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

Disorderly Conduct/Resisting Arrest
On December 11th, 2004 at 12:20 am, Dep. Milam, Dep. Bartlett and Dep. Carter responded to the Tavern Bar located in St. Leonard, Md. for a reported fight in progress. Upon their arrival they were told the fight was over and most of those involved had left the area. As Deputies were about to leave, Andrew J. Gray, 22 years old of Prince Frederick, Md. exited the bar and began yelling obscenities at the Deputies. Gray was advised to stop yelling and return to the bar. He refused and was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. He refused to comply with verbal commands and began to resist. After a short struggle, he was subdued and placed in handcuffs. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

Theft
On December 11th, 2004 at 9:30 pm, Dfc Wilson responded to the 7800 block of Old Bayside Rd., Chesapeake Beach, Md. for a reported theft. He spoke with the complainant and was advised a 2004 Yamaha 4 wheeler was stolen from back yard of the residence. There are no suspects at this time.

Theft
On December 12th, 2004 at 8:36 pm, Dfc. Wilson responded to Roland’s of Chesapeake Station for a reported theft. The complainant said she saw the suspect remove a box of doughnuts from the store without paying for them. The complainant confronted the suspect. The suspect threw the box of doughnuts back into the store and ran from the area. Based on the information gathered at the scene, Jeffrey M. Nicholson, 25 years old of Chesapeake Beach, Md. was developed as a suspect. Nicholson was located and placed under arrest and charged with theft. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
