The Community Services Division of the St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services and the St. Mary’s County Department of Social Services are pleased to announce that they will once again sponsor the Christmas Caring Program. The Program matches businesses, churches, organizations and individuals wishing to provide holiday gifts of toys, clothing and food with local families in need.
Christmas Caring Program 2004 marks the fifteenth year the Division has been able to provide this service to the community. Unfortunately, the number of families in need grows each year. So far this season, the Division has received 940 applications for assistance with approximately 295 families that still need to be “adopted.”
