St. Mary's County Police Report for November 29, 2004


On 11-29-04 St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Deputy Milton Pesante located Suspect Charles Anthony Gegor at the St. Mary's County Detention Center and served him with a Criminal Summons. The Criminal Summons alleges that the Suspect stole seven (7) Compact Dics from the Target Store in California. Suspect Gegor was charged with Theft Under $500 and is currently awaiting a court date.

On 11-29-04 Deputy Milton Pesante of the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office located Suspect Eldridge Eugene Shade and served him with a Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court. Suspect was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is awaiting a court date.

On 11-29-04 St. Mary's County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Wal-Mart store in California for the report of a theft. Upon arrival DFC William D. Ray made contact with Suspect Jason Russell Labille who had taken automotive headlight bulbs, the property of Wal-Mart, valued at approximately $10.00. Suspect Labille was charged with Theft Under $100 and is currently awaiting court date.

On 11-29-04 St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office SDFC Kevin D. Somerville located Suspect Edward Glenn Height and served him with a Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court. Suspect was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center and is awaiting a court date.

On 11-29-04 St. Mary's County Sheriff's Deputy DFC William D. Ray located Suspect Sandra Luzon Williams and served her a Criminal Summons for Bad Check. Suspect Williams wrote a check to P & W Appliances for service and or property without sufficient funds to cover the check. Suspect Williams was arrested and charged with Bad Check and is currently awaiting a court date.

On 11-29-04 St. Mary's County Sheriff's Deputy DFC Richard W. Russell located Suspect Kelly Ann Smith and served her with a Criminal Summons for Bad Check. Suspect Smith wrote a check to the St. Mary's County Commissioners for services and or property without sufficient funds to cover the check. Suspect Smith Was arrested and charged with Bad Check and is currently awaiting a court date.

On 11-26-04 St. Mary's County Sheriff's Deputy DFC Richard W. Russell responded to the report of a Theft of a Motor Vehicle in the Hollywood area. The Victim reported that his vehicle had been taken and not returned by Suspect Deborah Marie Justus. DFC Russell continued his investigation with assistance from SDFC Kevin D. Somerville and subsequently they located the vehicle and Suspect Justus in the Mechanicsville area. Suspect Justus was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. Suspect Justus was charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and is currently awaiting a court date.

November 26, Dfc. Elizabeth Trossbach charged Julie Lynn Foley age 26 of Leonardtown, MD with Bad Check over $500 by Criminal Summons. The summons was a result of a Criminal Information filed in District Court by the States Attorney's Office for a $560.90 bad check uttered by Julie Lynn Foley on the 27th of January, 2004 at the Wal-Mart in California, MD. Julie Lynn Foley was released pending a preliminary inquiry in District Court.

November 26, 2004 Dep. Brian Connelly charged John Alexander Hebb age 51 of Lexington Park with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession With Intent to Distribute CDS. The charge was by warrant, a Circuit Court Indictment. John Alexander Hebb is held at the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending arraignment before a Circuit Court Judge.

Sponge Bob has been recovered. November 19, 2004, Dfc. Robert Merritt responded to the Great Mills Burger King to investigate the disappearance of their large inflatable Sponge Bob that was had been on top of their building. Dfc. Merritt's investigation led him to the questioning of two male suspects, both age 18. The suspects admitted to climbing onto Burger King and taking the Sponge Bob. They then deflated the figure and took a cab to a residence. His investigation led to the arrest of both for Theft Under $500.00 and to the recovery of the inflatable figure. Dfc. Merritt arrested Conrad Nelson Mercure Jr of Lexington Park and Steven Charles Simon of California, MD. Both were charged by Criminal Citation and released pending a preliminary inquiry in District Court. The Sponge Bob was returned to Burger King.
