LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Nov. 24, 2004)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today
released the following incident report.
On Nov. 23 at 5:38 p.m., St. Mary's County Sheriff's deputies responded to a
home in Lexington Park for a reported homicide. It was discovered that George Yousinger Richardson, Jr., a 43 year-old resident of California, Md. shot and killed his former girlfriend, Suzanne Lee Combs, 35,
in her residence. Richardson then fatally shot himself inside the residence. Ms. Combs was reportedly nine months pregnant at the time of her death.
The investigation is being continued by Detectives from the St. Mary's
Bureau of Criminal Investigations. The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal
Investigations is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St.
Mary's County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown
Barrack. The unit was established on July 1, 2003 and is based in Leonardtown.
