Accident reconstructionist of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal car crash that occurred on Md. 260 in the area of Harrison Blvd., Chesapeake Beach, Md.
A 2004 Ford Ranger was operated by Joseph Quade Jr. 81 years old of Bethany, Delaware. Investigation revealed Mr. Quade’s vehicle was traveling eastbound on Rt. 260 in the area of Harrison Blvd., his vehicle drifted to the left, possible striking another vehicle that was also traveling eastbound. That vehicle left the scene without stopping. Mr. Quade’s vehicle then struck the guardrails on both sides of the roadway coming to rest in the grassy median.
Mr. Quade was transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital then transferred to Med star where he succumbed to his injuries. The exact time and cause of death are not known at this time.
