Burglary

On August 30th, 2004 at 8:56 am, Dfc. Tomlinson responded to the 4900 block of St. Leonard Rd., St. Leonard, Md. for a reported burglary. Investigation revealed, unknown person(s) cut the plastic handles on a metal shed located on the property, entered the shed and removed the victim’s tools. Further investigation revealed unknown person(s) removed items from an unsecured barn located next door. Investigation continues.

Burglary

On August 30th, 2004 at 9:04 am, Dfc. Phelps responded to the 100 block of East Chesapeake Beach Rd., Owings, Md. for a reported burglary. Investigation revealed unknown person(s) entered “Home Towne Team Select” by unknown means and removed several computers. There are no suspects at this time.

Theft

On August 31st, 2004 at 7:50 am, Dfc Phelps responded to the 3500 block of Smithville Dr., Dunkirk, Md for a reported theft. Unknown person(s) broke the drivers side window of her 2003 Nissan Pathfinder and took her purse. The purse was later recovered in a neighbors yard and returned to the victim. It did not appear anything was taken from the purse. There are no suspects at this time.

Theft

On August 31st, 2004 at 4:50 pm, Dfc. Wilson responded to the Rod and Reel Restaurant for a reported theft. The complainant said a white male wearing blue jeans and a blue tank top walked out on a $38.36 check. He attempted to follow the suspect but lost sight of him in the area of 17th Street, Chesapeake Beach, Md. Investigation continues.

CDS Violation/Driving while suspended

On August 31st, 2004 at 7:09 pm, Dfc. Wilson observed Edward Viens, 18 years old of North Beach, Md operating a motor vehicle. Dfc Wilson knows Viens from prior contacts and is aware he has a suspended drivers license. Dfc Wilson made contact with Viens and verified his license was suspended. He was placed under arrest for driving while suspended. A search of the vehicle revealed fifty-three (53) suspected propoxphene and two (2) adderall. Viens was charged with Driving While Suspended and Possession of CDS. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

Attempted Burglary

On September 1st, 2004 Dfc. Wilson responded to the 8900 block of Frederick Ave. North Beach, Md. for a reported attempted burglary. Investigation revealed unknown person(s) broke the sliding glass door leading to the rear of the home. The door was shattered with an unknown object. Nothing was taken and it appears the suspect(s) did not make entry into the house.
