On August 15 at 9:07 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Middleton Road in Waldorf for the reported shooting. Investigation revealed two suspects, described as black males, entered a room in the residence, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the victim, a 24-year-old man. A struggle ensued and the victim fled the residence. As the victim attempted to re-enter the residence, the suspects shot him and fled the scene. The victim was flown by a Maryland State Police helicopter to Prince George’s General Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
