SMECO Names Pickeral to Head Call Center

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) has named Rosemary T. Pickeral as its new Call Center Manager in the Customer Service Department. In this position, Pickeral supervises the customer service representatives who work directly with SMECO's customers. Pickeral replaces Joyce Hilwig, who retired.

Pickeral has worked at SMECO since 1985, serving as a department secretary, district office supervisor and District Services Manager. She holds an associate of arts degree from Charles County Community College (now College of Southern Maryland) and a bachelor of science degree from Morgan State University in Baltimore.

A resident of Hughesville, Pickeral has four children, Kiesha, Kristie, Kandace, and Alex. In her spare time she is active in her church's ministry.

SMECO is a customer-owned electric cooperative providing electricity to over 134,000 services in southern Prince George's County, and in Charles County, St. Mary's County, and all but the northeast portion of Calvert County.
