Charles County Sheriff's Office Report for August 09, 2004


BURGLARY: Sometime between 12 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on August 6, suspect(s) forced entry into the property of JC Outboard and Marine Service in the 8000 block of Matthew’s Road in Bryans Road and stole a 2000 Ford Expedition. The suspect(s) then used the vehicle to steal two machines that receive money for car washes at the nearby Speedy Clean Car Wash on Matthew’s Road. The suspect(s) took the machines to Burch Oil on Matthew’s Road and forced entry into a shed at that business. The suspect(s) took an undisclosed amount of money from the machines and left one of the machines at Burch Oil. At approximately 2:30 a.m., the Ford Expedition was located on fire in Prince George’s County. One of the machines was with the vehicle. MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: Sometime between August 4 and August 5, suspect(s) stole a 1987 gray Oldsmobile Cutlass from the 2600 block of Hunt Place in Waldorf. The vehicle has a blue hood and bumper and should display Maryland tag MGD483. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. DUI: On August 3 at 10:25 p.m., Officer E. Baker observed a vehicle in the 2800 block of Idlewood Park Drive in Waldorf pull over onto the grass shoulder of the road and turn its headlights. Investigation revealed the driver, Lisa Marlene Gagliarducci, 39, of Waldorf, was intoxicated. She was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.

CAR JACKING: On August 3 at 8:14 p.m., a Charles County Sheriff’s officer was approached by a citizen who advised his car had just been stolen. Investigation revealed the citizen, a 37-year-old Waldorf man, was inside a business in the area of Leonardtown Road and Post Office Road while a passenger in the vehicle, also a 37-year-old Waldorf man, remained in the vehicle. Two men approached the passenger and ordered the passenger out of the vehicle. The passenger complied and the suspects fled the scene in the vehicle. Officers located the vehicle traveling on Bannister Circle. The vehicle turned onto Bryan Court and stopped and the suspects were apprehended without incident. The suspects, Steven Donnell Burrough, 23, of Waldorf and Kevin Mark Warren, 18, of La Plata, were charged with Car Jacking, Motor Vehicle Theft and Theft Over $500. Officer C. Gregory investigated.

BURGLARY: Sometime between 6:30 p.m. on August 3 and 5:10 a.m. on August 4, suspect(s) entered a garage in the 5900 block of River Road in Bryans Road, stole two Honda all-terrain vehicles (ATV) and a Kawasaki ATV and fled the scene. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-743-2222. PFC R. D. Snyder is investigating.
