On July 29, 2004 at approximately 1430 hours, Vice / Narcotics Officers from the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations and the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services Team served a Search and Seizure Warrant at a residence located on Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown. The search warrant was issued by the Circuit Court for St. Mary's County pursuant to an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Seized from the residence was 48.63 grams of crack cocaine, having a "street value" of $4860.00 and 3.55 grams of marijuana, valued at $20.00. Also seized was $1933.00 in United States currency.
Arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances were Dewayne M. Dorsey, 19, of Lexington Park; Calvin T. Douglas, 19, of Lexington Park; and a 15 year old Leonardtown male.
During the service of the warrant, Michael DeAngelo Davis, 20, of Callaway sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. Davis was treated at St. Mary's Hospital for the non-life threatening injury. The circumstances surrounding the injury are currently under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
