St. Mary's County Police Report for July 12, 2004


Arrest / Unattended Child: On 07/10/04 at 2056 hours Deputy Robert Steward arrested Porita Denise White, 30, of Lexington Park, via Maryland Uniform Criminal Citation and charged her with leaving her 2-1/2 year old son in her running motor vehicle with his 8 and 10 year old siblings while she was inside of a Great Mills store. White was issued a court date and released on her own recognizance.

Arrest / Failure to Appear: On 07/11/04 at 1230 hours DFC Charles F. Earle arrested Stacey Lynn Simmons, 32, of Dunkirk on an open Circuit Court Arrest Warrant for Failure to Appear on 06/09/04 for a Show Cause Hearing stemming from a previous Bad Check case. She was incarcerated without bond.

Arrest / Disorderly Conduct: On 07/11/04 at 1647 hours Deputy Robert Steward arrested a 14 year-old male juvenile from Lexington Park and charged him with Second Degree Assault. Investigation revealed the juvenile's mother confronted him about having other juveniles in their home while she was at work and he became angry and hit her in the arm. No injuries were reported. The juvenile was charged, processed, and released to a parent for further disposition by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
