Charles County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Assistance In Locating Suspects In Attempted Burchmart Burglary


The Charles County Sheriff’s office and Charles County Crime Solvers are asking for the public’s assistance in locating two suspects in an attempted commercial burglary.

On May 22 at 4:01 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the Burchmart in the 1000 block of Berry Road in Waldorf for the report of a burglary. Investigation revealed two suspects drove their vehicle through the front of the business and attempted to steal an ATM machine. The suspects did not succeed and fled the scene in the vehicle.

The vehicle is described as a white 2001 or newer van with damage to the back end. The vehicle has four symbols on the back gate and a symbol on the front passenger window.

The Sheriff’s Office is releasing images obtained from surveillance equipment and photographs of evidence recovered at the scene. Anyone with information regarding this investigation or the images released is asked call Det. J. Elliott at 301-609-6515 or Crime Solvers at 1-800-673-27777.

Anyone who wishes to remain anonymous may call the Charles County Crime Solvers and anyone who provides a tip that leads to an arrest or indictment could be eligible for a reward from Crime Solvers of up to $1000.
