Sandra Lee (Lumpkins) Lake, 69, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away on March 20, 2024 in Leonardtown, MD surrounded by her family. Born on March 9, 1955 in Leonardtown, MD, Sandy was the loving daughter of the late Gerald Webster Lumpkins, Sr., and Barbara Ann Lumpkins. Sandy is survived by her sons, Kevin (Heather) and Korey (Chrissy), her siblings, Pete, Jack (Mary Lou), Donnie, Bo (Rob), Brenda (Pee Wee), Rick (Lyn), Gail, and Bonnie, as well as her grandchildren, Katlyn, Ryleigh, Kinsley, Kaden, Kapri, Alyssa, and Kameron. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family. She was very proud of her grandkids. She reminded each of them during her last hours - "to make her proud".

In her younger years, Sandy had a love for softball. She played for Captain Sams and Pennies. Sandy enjoyed playing cards, visiting the casinos, and hanging out on Fridays with the Welch girls - her extended family. She was a terrific cook and baker - never afraid to try a new recipe. Sandy is well known for her homemade eggnog each Christmas as well as her pumpkin rolls.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 PM with Chaplain Chris Whetlor officiating.
