Mary Simone Wallace Hill, 77, of Clements, MD, passed away on March 16, 2024 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Born on November 27, 1946 in Leonardtown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Mary Edna Wallace and the late Joseph Spencer Wallace. Mary was the loving wife of the late Joseph "Bootsie" Hill, who preceded her in death on January 7, 2009. She is survived by her son, Jamie Spencer (Jessa) of Richmond, VA, her daughters, Sandra Binkley (Mike) of South Pittsburg, TN, Laura Wathen (Larry) of Clements, MD, and Jessica Winfrey (Nick) of Lusby, MD, her siblings, George Wallace, Joe Wallace, Mike Wallace, Brenda Brooks, and John "Bubby" Wallace, 11 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Larry Patrone, her siblings, Carolyn Barcikowski, Tommy Wallace, and Wendy Shaffer, and one grandchild, Crystal Winfrey.

Mary earned her GED and was a homemaker. Some of Mary's favorite things included watching the hummingbirds outside her window; she would always make sure the household was prepared for their arrival. Mary always looked forward to the family camping trips, especially the Halloween trip, as she loved seeing the grandchildren dressed in costumes. Mary's greatest gift was watching her grandchildren, whom affectionately referred to her as "Grandmom, G-ma, and G-money", grow into successful young adults.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Greg Syler officiating. Interment will be private. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Binkley, Larry Wathen, Jessa Spencer, and Nicholas Winfrey. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
