Helen Eloise Pratt, 87, of Huntingtown passed away January 6, 2022 at her home. She was born December 14, 1934 in Washington, DC to Robert Edwin Lee Jr. and Helen Elizabeth (Wood) Rison. Eloise was raised in DC and graduated from Anacostia Sr. High School in 1953. She later attended Benjamin Franklin University from 1966-1971 and graduated with an A.B.A in accounting. Eloise was employed as an accountant for the Department of the Army and the Air Force Headquarters and the Army and Air Force Motion Picture Service from 1955-1975. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She had a love for animals, especially her three stray cats that she took in over the years. She enjoyed feeding wild birds, stray cats, foxes and any other animals that ventured up to her porch.

Eloise was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Pratt in 2008. She is survived by her cousin Janice Ways of Berkely Springs, WV, brother-in-law Henry Pratt of Quincy, IL, friends David and Cathy Trimble and Sophia Purdum, and very close friends Jimmy Robinson, Jimmy Robinson Sr., and Frances Robinson, as well as several other close friends and neighbors.
