Amy (Longfellow) Slaughter, 95, a resident of Calvert County Nursing Center, passed away May 16, 2020. She was born September 22, 1924 in Burtonsville, MD to Amy (Magruder) and Cleveland Milstead. Amy was a devoted homemaker, and longtime resident of Chesapeake, MD. She was an active member and Past President of the Stallings-Williams American Legion Auxiliary. Amy loved cleaning her home, Bingo, bowling, vacationing in Ocean City, and spending time with her family.

Amy was preceded in death by husband William B. Slaughter, sons William Longfellow and Fred Longfellow, a daughter Amy Longfellow, and her siblings Edward, Francis, Lillian, Robert, and Helen. She is survived by her children, Darlene Longfellow of St. Leonard, John Longfellow and wife Carolyn Ann of Chesapeake Beach, Candice Rogers and husband John Rogers of St. Leonard, Debra Millikin and husband Mark of Raleigh, NC, Richard Longfellow and Sherri Thompson of Arlington, Virginia, and Robert Longfellow and wife Melissa of Dunkirk. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
