Walter Earl Marshall, age 79, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Berkeley Medical Center. Born June 12, 1938 in Prince George's County, MD he was the son of the late Walter and Lily Babb Marshall. Walter attended public schools in Upper Marlboro, MD. He retired after 25 years of working for the Prince George County Public Schools as Assistant Master Foreman.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Helen Taylor Marshall, his sister Helen J. Marshall of Woodbridge, VA, his nieces, Dana Ryce of Berkeley Springs, WV, Samantha Howard and Brandy Howard, both of Lexington Park, MD and his nephew, Brandon Howard of Lexington Park, MD. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Nola Mae Cottles, Minnie Jones and Pauline Gregg, and his brothers, James Marshall, Richard Marshall, LeRoy Marshall, Dewy Marshall and William Marshall.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV with Rev. Brian Shoda as officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:30pm in the Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
