Tammy Lynn Perrie Richards, 53 of LaPlata, Maryland unexpectedly passed away on May 2, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Tammy was born on July 8, 1970, in Washington DC, to Joseph Summers Perrie Jr and Emily Ann DeMarr.

Tammy is survived by her two sons, Ross Michael Perrie Richards and Garrett Donald Perrie Richards of LaPlata, MD, Fiancé David (Dave) Richards, Mother Emily Perrie of LaPlata MD, Sister Joanne Katherine Watson, Brother-in-Law Robert (Robby) Watson, Nephews Dean Watson and Wyatt Watson of White Plains MD

She is preceded in death by her father Joseph (Joe) Summers Perrie JR and her Sister Lisa Marie Perrie.

Tammy was a graduate of Gwynn Park High School in Brandywine MD. While she was in high school, she started working at a Pharmacy where she met the love of her life David Richards. Dave and Tammy would go on to have to wonderful son's Ross and Garrett. Tammy was a stay-at-home mom while they were young. However, Tammy's compassion and love for helping people would not allow her to stay home long. She has spent the last several years doing homecare for RES Homecare. There she excelled as Caregiver II and was assigned several clients whom she would quickly become part of their family. When Tammy was not loving on her boys or spending time with her family you would find her "Bargin Shopping". She loved thrift stores and yard sales. Much of which she would buy things for clients, family, and friends. She also loved her animals, especially her little dog Bella.

Tammy will forever be remembered for her heart of gold. Her love for her family and friends will be matched by no other!!

The family will receive friends for Tammy's Life Celebration on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm with prayers at 11:00 am at Baden Volunteer Fire Department, 16608 Brandywine Road, Brandywine, MD 20613.
