Wild animals become injured or orphaned through interactions with other animals and through interactions with people. Wildlife rehabilitators are there to help heal and rehome individual animals in need. The majority of Wildlife Rehabilitators in Maryland are private citizens who volunteer their time and labor to study and become licensed to care for wildlife. Join MD DNR Natural Resource Biologist Paula Becker to learn about the training and issues involved in working with wildlife, when to intervene, how to reduce our impacts on wildlife, and when to let Nature do what she does.
