Do you have a child diagnosed with autism? Not sure where to go for help? Please join Allysa Ware, Licensed Social Worker, project director for Family Voices and mother of a child with autism, as she:
• Presents facts about autism
• Debunks some common myths
• Describes evidence-based treatments
• Shares names of community resources
• Explains funding options
Are you wondering why the some goals can be put your child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and others cannot? You may have been told that your child’s autism diagnosis is a medical rather than an educational diagnosis. There is a difference between the two. Ms. Ware will discuss the difference and how they impact a child’s IEP.
This workshop is free but registration is required. To register, please contact Robyn Roberts at firstname.lastname@example.org.
