Drum Point Flotilla, US Coast Guard Auxiliary, is conducting a Maryland Boating Safety Education Class beginning on 23 April 2018. The class will consist of three, four hour class sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Dates of the class are April 23, April 24 and 26 April.
The class includes boat nomenclature and identification, trailering, rules and regulations, legal responsibilities, handling emergencies, and more. A Maryland Boating Safety Education Certificate (blue card) will be issued upon successful completion of the course. A final test will be given on 26 April.

For those born after 1 July 1972: this course satisfies the requirements for operating a vessel on Maryland waters and a Maryland Department of Natural Resources Certificate of Boating Safety Education will be issued on satisfactory completion.
