The Maritime Performance Series presents KEN & BRAD KOLODNER QUARTET in the Harms Gallery. Doors open at 6 pm with beer and wine for sale. This dynamic quartet includes Ken Kolodner on hammer dulcimer and fiddle. He has shared the stage with Doc Watson, Alison Krauss, Jeanie Ritchie, John McCutcheon, Jay Ungar & Mollie Mason. Rooted in the traditions of Old-Time music, Baltimore-based clawhammer banjoist Brad Kolodner represents the next generation of Old-Time musicians. Brad performs regularly with his father Ken and with the ground-breaking acoustic roots Irish-old-time-Bluegrass fusion quartet Charm City Junction. Rachel Eddy’s multi-instrumental talents and soulful singing bring an incredibly powerful energy. She performs as a soloist and tours with The Early Mays, and teaches fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, and bass in the U.S. and Europe. Ralph Gordon brings more than 45 years of musical experience to the bass and cello. He is equally at home in folk, old time, swing, jazz, blues, bluegrass, klezmer, chamber group settings and all styles of music for dancers. Sponsored by a matching grant from the MD State Arts Council Maryland Touring Grant. Tickets are $15 online, $20 at the door.
