invite the public to “A Passion for Wildlife Photography: the Stories Behind the Images,” a delightfully illustrated presentation by renowned wildlife photographer Irene Hinke-Sacilotto. This free event will take place Saturday April 21 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Cypress Swamp auditorium, 2880 Grays Rd, Prince Frederick, MD 20678, (410)535-5327 about 5 miles south of Prince Frederick just off Sixes Rd (MD 506).
Irene's talk is based on more than 30 years' experience photographing birds and other animals and is aimed at all lovers of wildlife, not just photographers. She covers the knowledge, strategies, techniques, and equipment required to capture professional wildlife images. Her presentation includes information on locating, attracting, and approaching animals along with prime locations for wildlife photography, the use of photographic blinds, and stalking techniques. Irene’s photography is widely known from magazines such as Birder’s World, Birding, Living Bird, National Wildlife Federation, Natural History, Outdoor Photographer, Weekly Reader, as well as from books, calendars, note cards, and posters produced by Audubon, National Geographic, National Park Service and Sierra Club. Her degrees in biology and chemistry and her strong background in the environmental science field complement her already impressive credentials.
