Calvert Hospice is pleased to provide educational seminars to our community. Attendees will learn about topics that impact end-of-life care for patients and their families. Sessions are designed to encourage group discussion. Our next seminar is entitled "Support for Caregivers" and will be held on January 16, 2018 from 1:00—2:30 pm. Calvert Hospice will provide refreshments. The seminar is free.

Presenter: Kim Burton, Director of Older Adult Programs for the Mental Health Association of Maryland
Ms. Burton will share information about the physical, mental, and emotional challenges of caregiving. She will discuss risks for stress in caregivers, the impact of stress on the brain and body, strategies for managing stress as a caregiver, and tips for engaging in healthy self-care.
