Thomas Edward Wutka, 57, of Waldorf, MD, died Monday, October 23, 2006. Visitation will be Sunday, Oct 29, 2006 from 5-8 pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD, and funeral service will be Monday, Oct 30 at 11:30 am at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata.

Mr. Wutka served in the United States Navy from 1970 to 1995. He retired as a Master Chief, receiving many awards during his career, including the "Navy Commendation Medal". He worked for Wyle Laboratories in Lexington Park for the past 10 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and spending time on his boat, and fishing.

Son of Joseph Thomas Wutka Sr and Clara Louise Whatley Wutka.

Marian Rosalie Sweeney, 74, of Lusby, MD passed away on October 23, 2006 at Calvert Memorial Hospital.

Born November 11, 1931 in Upper Marlboro, Md. to the late Joseph Greenbury and Blanche Walker Sweeney. Marian was the Assistant Manager of K-Mart.

Beloved sister of Lucy Virginia Sweeney, Theresa May Stormer, Eileen Campos, John Everett Sweeney and the late Joseph M. Sweeney, the late Margaret Naomi Sweeney, Barbara Jean Poff and the late Janice Lee Fitzgerald. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family received friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, Port Republic, MD. on Thursday October 26, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial was offered on Friday October 27, 2006, at 10 a.m. in the St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Prince Frederick, Md. with Father Peter Daly officiating. Pallbearers were Ken Stormer, Michael Sweeney, Max Campos, William Sweeney, Richard Cunningham and Everett John Sweeney.

Interment followed in the Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, Md.

Paul Vincent Somerville, 73, of Leonardtown, Maryland died October 22, 2006 in his home. Born July 31, 1933 in Loveville, Maryland to the late Rosie Queenie Mae Somerville and the late Xavier Frederick.

Paul was raised in St. Mary's County. He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. He worked 25 years for the Naval Ordnance Station, known now as the Indian Head Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center located in Indian Head, Maryland until his retirement. Paul was very loving, loyal, high spirited and fun to be around. He was always there to lend a helping hand, most of the time without being asked. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. A few of his favorite pass times were fishing; making his famous wooden Crosses for friends and family; shooting the breeze with the boys next door; participating in activities held at the Garvey Senior Citizen's Center; and mostly, being a brother in the Elks Pride of St. Mary's, Lodge 1120.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Agnes Loretta Dyson and Son-in-Law George L. Dyson, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Mary (Imogene), his daughters, Paula and Shawn Somerville, Chirleen Eaton (Marvin) and Paula D. Thomas (Deon). Sons, Zachary Stewart and Brian Fenwick (Angie). Grandchildren, Shantel and Shanae Thomas, Rickya Stewart, Jeremiah Reed, Gia and Jordan Beaton. Brothers, Joseph Lee (Delores), and Jimmy (Tootie) Somerville. Sisters-in-Law, Shirley (Thomas) Bush, Frances (Bug) Makle, Ann Slater, Marie Stewart, Tammie Thompson, Denise (Al) Esquilin, Delores (Cornelius) Woodson. Brothers-in-Law, James, Jr. (Alice), Joseph (Jean) and Charles (Stephanie) Stewart. In addition to a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2006 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Morganza, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM in St. Joseph's Church. Father Keith Woods and Father Damien Shadwell will concelebrate the mass. Internment will take place at Queen of Peace Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Brinsfield Funeral Home, Leonardtown, Maryland.

Ms. Hammonds was a member of First Baptist Church of La Plata. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, puzzles, reading and her cats. She loved taking care of kids.

She was the daughter of Arthur Steffy and Molly Smith.
