John Clifton Kaufmann, 63, of St. Mary's City, MD passed away on October 3, 2014. Born on July 5, 1951 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Helen Lawrence Kaufmann and H. Clifton Kaufmann.

John was the loving husband of Karen Lorenzi Kaufmann.

He is survived by his children Carlyle Laurel Kaufmann of California, MD, and Holly Paige Kaufmann of St. Mary's City, MD.

John graduated from T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, VA in 1969 and graduated in 1973 from Madison College. He moved to St. Mary's County in 1987. John was a founding member, Chairman & CEO of National Technologies Associates, Inc., Lexington Park, Maryland.

He was a devoted husband, father, and family man. John was past Commodore of Corinthian Yacht Club, and was an avid boater and angler.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. Interment will be private.
