John Joseph "Joe" Perok, 71, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away September 27, 2014 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Born June 10, 1943 in Houtzdale, PA he was the son of Joseph Perok and Evelyn G. Close Perok.

Joe worked as a manager in the Equipment Division for the U.S. Senate. He loved to go camping, tinkering with building and carpentry projects, "Natural Light" beer and country music. He was a member of American Legion Post 233 in Indian Head, MD. He enjoyed being with his family, daughter and grandchildren and especially helping others.

Predeceased by his parents, Joe is survived by his wife Roberta Lea Perok; daughter, Sheena Marie Rossell (Robert); sister, Elizabeth "June" Sullivan (Robert); grandchildren, Andrew Philip Senires and Nicholas Joseph "Nick" Rossell; cousins, Wendy and Dean Painter and Larry Perok.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 10:00a.m. at Brinsfield-Echols. Interment will follow at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Rd., Brentwood, MD 20722 at 12:00 noon.

In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions made be made to St. Jude 's Children Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home.
