Anna Mae Jenkins, 80, of La Plata, MD and formerly of Hughesville, MD passed away on September 18, 2014 at Genesis La Plata Center in Charles County, MD. She was born on May 20, 1934 in Hughesville, MD to the late John Hillary Quade and the late Mary Lessie (Owens) Quade.

Anna loved gardening and flowers. Anna thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Season. Every year Anna would decorate every room in her home with scores of Christmas Decorations. Each room had a thoroughly decorated Christmas tree festooned with ornaments of every size and description. Anna also enjoyed bird watching and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by her husband, Donald Eugene Jenkins, Sr.; son, Donald Eugene Jenkins, Jr.; brothers, James Quade and Ernest Quade; and sisters, Marie Hamilton and Mary Wolfinger.

Anna is survived by her children, Robert Jenkins, Kathy Delepine, and Rita D. Mills; brothers, Chester Quade, Harold Quade, and Wilmer Quade; sister, Elsie Baird; four grandchildren, Amber Jenkins, Ryan Jenkins, DJ Mills, and Sandra (Delepine) King; three great-grandchildren, Chelsey King, Bridget King, and Michael King; and one great-great grandchild, Irelyn King.

There will be a graveside service held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 38888 Dr. Johnson Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659.
