Niranjan Prasad Sharma, M.D., 69, of Waldorf, MD passed away on Friday evening, September 5, 2014 at La Plata Center - Genesis. He was born on October 10, 1944 in Kathmandu, Nepal to the late Krishna Prasad Aryal and the late Rada Devi Adhikary.

Niranjan was an internist who was dedicated to his family and work. He enjoyed gardening, road trips, reading, house projects, and being by the water.

In addition to his parents, Niranjan was predeceased by one of his sons, Arvin Sharma; and two brothers.

Niranjan is survived by his loving wife, Geeta Sharma; two sons, Amod Sharma and Ashish Sharma.

Family and friends will be received to celebrate Niranjan's life during a Memorial Service on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home.
