Ruby Daniel Langston, 89, of Chesapeake Beach died Feb. 22, 2008, at her residence.

She was a retired administrator with the federal government in Washington, D.C. She had lived in North Beach for many years prior to moving to Chesapeake Beach. She was a member of North Beach Union Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jonas David ''Ned" Langston, who died in 1970. She is survived by her sister, Janice Turner of Scotland Neck, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
