Mary Evelyn Goelling, 83, of Hughesville, MD passed away peacefully at Hospice House of Charles County, Waldorf, MD. Born March 10, 1931, in Hughesville, MD, she was the daughter of Joseph Elmer Stonestreet and Mabel Jenkins Stonestreet.

A homemaker and lifetime resident of Hughesville and member of St. Mary's, Bryantown parish, she was an outdoor person who loved working and helping on the farm and tending the garden. She liked to crochet and read the National Enquirer and Star. Her special love were her grandchildren.

Predeceased by her parents; husband Bernard Goelling in 2013; son, Bernard Goelling, Jr. in 2014, two sisters and seven brothers.

Mary Evelyn is survived by her children; Francis A. Goelling, Helen Marie Fassel, Charles A. Goelling, Sr., Carol Ann Stone, Linda E. Hamilton (Mike) and Brenda L. Goelling; brothers, Michael Stonestreet (Holly) and Edward Stonestreet (Rose); 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for Mary Evelyn's Memorial Life Celebration on Thursday, July 17, 2014, from 10:00 - 11:00a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00a.m. Inurnment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
