Patricia Ann Griesert, 66, of Waldorf, MD passed away on July 8, 2014, as a result of a sudden illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born on April 12, 1948, in Johnson City, New York where she was raised and educated in Catholic schools. She earned a degree from Broome Technical Community College and then in her early 20s, relocated to the Washington, D.C. area where she met Allen Griesert. They were married on April 8, 1972 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Johnson City. They were happily married for over 42 years.

Pat was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a long time member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Waldorf. She enjoyed traveling and the theater, and she was a devoted volunteer for numerous causes through her church.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mary Rudack. She is survived by her loving husband, Allen Griesert; her daughters, Kristen Maher (Jeff) of Leonardtown, MD and Jennifer Hovis (Ted) of Alexandria, VA; two grandsons, Brandon and Colin Maher; two sisters, Mary Jo Schlecht and Anne Marie Lamphere; two brothers, Andrew Rudack and James Rudack; her sister-in-law, Sharon Steege; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests starting at 10AM until the time of a Mass of Christian Funeral at 11AM on July 14, 2014 at Our Lady Help of Christians, 100 Village Street, Waldorf, MD 20602. A private interment will be held at a later date at St. Mary's Queen of Peace Cemetery in Mechanicsville, MD.
