Timothy James Clayton, 23, of Port Tobacco died Feb. 23, 2008.

He was a student at College of Southern Maryland and a 2003 graduate of La Plata High School. He was very artistic, especially with drawing. He enjoyed his animals and the outdoors. He liked four-wheeling, fishing, writing short stories and poems, and watching movies.

Born Jan. 30, 1985, in Baltimore, he was the son of Donald James Clayton and Margaret A. Menard Clayton.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Clayton Flathman.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Jessie A. and her husband, Abraham Munch of Jacksonville, Fla., and Olivia F. Clayton of Waldorf; grandmother, Ellen M. Menard of Oxon Hill; niece, Leilani Munch; and nephew, Joseph Flathman.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Feb. 29 at New Life Church, La Plata, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. March 1. The Rev. James Matchette will officiate. Burial will take place at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Helen.

Pallbearers will be John Murphy, Dominic McDonald, Stefan Lazaro, Josh Clayton and Sean and Eric Reingruber.
