Ruby Ann Chase, 81, of Bel Alton, MD passed away on July 2, 2014 at her residence. After suffering a short illness and being discharged from the hospital, one of God's angels spread its wings and took flight to her bedside. Ruby put her hand in the angel's hand and went to be with the Lord and joined her husband, mother, father, and sister.

Ruby leaves to cherish loving memories three daughters, Elizabeth Ford, Barbara Bowman and Maxine Yates; six sons, Robert, David, Thomas, Gregory, John, and Tony Chase; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Dyeann Chase; son-in-law, Clarence Ford; four sisters, Emma Ransome, Julia Campbell, Grace Gutrick (Rudolph), and Judy Bennett (James); six brothers, John Mason (Winifred), David Mason (Dorothy), Daniel Mason (Theresa), Edward Mason (Tresia), and Joseph Mason (Micheline); three sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Johnson, Virgie Gant, Mary Brunner; three brothers-in-law, Herbert Chase (Largo), Eugene Chase, Bobby Chase (Eleanor); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and very special friends.

Family received friends to celebrate Ruby's life on Tuesday, July 8th 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at La Plata United Methodist Church, 3 Port Tobacco Road, La Plata, MD 20646. Pastor Kevin R. Brooks officiated. A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Interment followed at St. Matthews Methodist Cemetery in La Plata, MD.
