Sampson, Catherine Ann (Baker), 67, of Indian Head, Maryland.

Catherine passed away at home of natural causes on June 25, 2014. She was born on October 9, 1946 to the late Grant Woodrow Baker, Sr. and Mabel (Travers) Baker in Charles County, Maryland. She was educated in the Charles County Public School System.

She was married to the late Napoleon Sampson who passed in 1995. She was employed at the Naval Ordnance Station as an Explosives technician and as a bus driver for many years servicing Melwood and the Spring Dell Center. She was a lifetime member of the Woodland Village Civil Association. Among their many accomplishments, was the upgrade of the community's water system, and establishment of a community park.

She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings, and was praised for her macaroni and cheese, bar-b-que pigs feet and homemade crabcakes.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, David (Catherine), Ronald, and Reuben (Jacqueline), and one sister, Dorothy Mae Bowman (Arthur).

She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Baker) Reeves and Anita Sampson, two sons, Nick Anthony (Tony) and Ronald (Cheryl) Sampson; six grandchildren, Jamar Reeves, Chelsea and Whitney Sampson, Jameel Searvance, Brendon Tyler, Brandi Beckett; two sisters, Annette Bowman and Mary Baker-Blackmon, two brothers, Grant Baker, Jr. and Maurice Theodore Baker, Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be from 9:00 until time of service 11:00 Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5560 Pleasant Grove Road, Marbury, Maryland 20658. Internment, Church cemetery.
