Phyllis F. Buell, 79, of Leonardtown MD passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospice House in Callaway after a short illness.

Phyllis was born March 27, 1935 in Bronx, NY to the late James and Anna (Hirt) Marcella. She married William John Buell (Bronx NY) September 11, 1954; the family moved to St. Mary's County in 1971. Phyllis was a homemaker and worked in Leonardtown for Mattingly's IGA and True Value Hardware.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William John Buell who died in 1999; and a sister Ann Lute, NY and her daughter Theresa A. Buell, Leonardtown.

Survived by two sons, William S. (Joy) Buell, Valley Lee, MD; Anthony J. Buell, Leonardtown; and a daughter Anna R. (Kenny) Norris, Ridge MD; sister Catherine Philbin, Long Island NY; brother James Marcella, Ocala FL; Six grandchildren Brook (Howard) Berg, St. Indigos MD; Brittaney Buell, Piney Point MD; Meagan, Emily, KJ and Kyle Norris, Ridge MD; Jayden Buell, Leonardtown; Four great-grandchildren Bailey, Brett and Brendon Berg, and Carter Moore.

A graveside Memorial services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock in Charles Memorial Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, 44724 Hospice Ln, Callaway, MD, 20620.
