Elizabeth June (Ragon) Fuller, 85, of Waldorf, Maryland passed away on May 7, 2014. She was born on May 31, 1928 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late George Jacob Ragon, Sr. and Gertrude Corinne (Wicks) Ragon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard George Fuller and her daughter, Gloria Jean (Fuller) Brooks. She is survived by her sister, Opal (Ragon) Cotton, daughters: Margaret (Fuller) Diamond (Donald), Lorraine (Fuller) Logan (Bobby Jr), and Susan (Fuller) Cross (Glenn); 13 grandchildren: Michael Brooks, Micah Diamond, Kelly (Brooks) Knight, Jonathan Logan, David Diamond, Julie (Logan) Wilkinson (Robby), Lisa Logan, Keith Cross, Donald Diamond Jr, Stewart Diamond, Laura (Cross) Renteria (Joe), Robert Logan, Steven Diamond; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She attended Louisiana Norton Business College, later called Northwestern University in Louisiana. She married Air Force Sgt. Bernard Fuller on November 18, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana. They were married for 57 years. After marriage, she worked at the New York Stock Exchange until she had her first child. They lived in many different places because her husband was in the Air Force, such as New York, England, Arkansas, and Alaska, until finally settling in Maryland. She was a homemaker. She loved to sew, garden, paint, draw, and listen to bluegrass music. She was a gifted artist. She loved the Lord and taught her children to do the same. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Charles. Elizabeth was devoted to her family and gave all she could to her children and grandchildren. She was a loving and caring person with a sweet spirit and a beautiful smile. Friends and family will be received on Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. with prayer service at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 12 noon with interment following at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 2:00 p.m. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home. |
