David Roy Willett of White Plains, MD died on May 4, 2014 at his residence. He was 77 years old.
Mr. Willett was a self-employed carpenter for 60 years and was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a fan of the Washington Redskins and NASCAR. He most enjoyed being with family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and tinkering in his garage. He is the son of the late Walter Anthony Willett and the late Opal Mae Henderson Willett. He is also predeceased by his wife, Linda Lee Cary Willett; his brothers, Reggie, Claude, Milton, John, Pat, and Wayne Willett; and grandson, Jason Schulz. He is survived by his sons, Todd B. Willett and his wife Suzanne and David Scott Willett; his daughters, Lisa W. Ritter and her husband Rod, Stacie Schulz, and Amanda W. Adamson and her husband Robert; his brother, James R. Willett; and two sisters, DaOnne Lucas and Susan Legagneux. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends received on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with a Prayer Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 11AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pomfret, MD. Interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
