Mr Martines was an Inventory Control Manager for Room Store Furniture and Levitz Furniture for 35 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Viet Nam era. He was a member of the United Church of Christ, known as a hard worker, good father, and enjoyed fishing.

Son of the late Oliver Martines and the late Mildred Pilasch Martines.

Predeceased by his parents.

Survived by his wife, Christine Blessing Martines, two sons, Donavon L. (Mariann) Hyder of Georgia, and Aaron C. (Donna) Hyder of Waldorf, Md., one daughter, Angela M. (Jeffrey) Crossman of Waldorf, Md. , one brother , Richard Martines of Richmond, Va., two sisters, Carol Steinhour and Barbara Martines, both of Cincinati, Ohio, six grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Tlyer, Andrew, Jacob, and Casey.

Visitation on Thursday, February 21, 2007 from 5-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, Md.

Funeral Service on Friday, February 22, 2007 at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Clergy will be Rev. Mark Roberson. Interment at Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 10AM.

Pallbearers will be Richard Martines, Kevin Blessing, Donavon and Aaron Hyder. Honary Pallbearers will be United States Air Force Honor Guard.
