Charles Truman Quade, 86, of Maddox, MD died September 16, 2006 in St. Mary's Hospital. Born July 15, 1920 in Oakley, MD he was the son of the late Bruce Johnson and Rose Farrell Quade. He was preceded by his first wife Agnes L. Quade and his second wife Elizabeth Quade.

He is survived by his step-children Bill Pilkerton of TN, Betty Lee Buckler of Charlotte Hall, MD, Virginia Payne of Mathias, WV, and Donna Roberts of Concord, CA. He is also survived by his siblings Rose Lee Thompson and Lewis Benjamin Quade both of Avenue, MD. He was also preceded in death by his step-son Bernard Pilkerton and his siblings Johnson Bruce Quade and James Leonard Quade.

Mr. Quade was a life long St. Mary's county resident where he worked as a farmer and waterman. He enjoyed gardening, bingo and playing cards.

The family received friends on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with prayers being said at 7:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 10:00AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Francis Early officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Louis "Buddy" Thompson, Johnny George, Donnie Thompson, John George, Jereme George, and Benny Thompson.
